Level 5 Certificate in Business Support
Introduction
The Level 5 Certificate in Business Support focuses on the broad base of skills, knowledge and understanding needed by business advisers. It is specifically for those working in the business support sector that help entrepreneurs who are starting up and developing businesses to review their progress, action-plan improvements, implement changes to their existing or prospective business and develop their business skills and knowledge.

| Assessment | The focus of assessment should be practical and work focused. The assessor will observe the business support practitioner on three occasions. One of these sessions must be a real situation with a real client. The business support practitioners’ interaction with clients will be the primary focus of observation. Any other aspects of their performance that also naturally occur during observation will also be assessed. | |
| Entry requirements | There are no formal entry requirements for these qualifications. However, in order to benefit from undertaking them, candidates should possess communication skills sufficient to allow them to perform as business support professionals and to address the assessment requirements of the qualifications. | |

Study Support
All learners gain free studying membership of the Faculty of Enterprise in the IOEE (Institute of Enterprise and Entrepreneurs) for one year. This provides access to a wide range of online support including a community of mentors, groups, forums, meetups and other tailored resources to help participants complete their programme successfully.
Progression
Successful learners may progress to other business support programmes for example the Diploma in Enterprise Support.
Upon successful completion of this Award learners will also be eligible to join the Faculty of Enterprise Support of the IOEE (Institute of Enterprise and Entrepreneurs) as an Associate or Full Member and use nominal letters.
